This bowl is moulded with a large recumbent parrot lying on one end. The parrot is further detailed with a prominent beak，beady eyes with dark colour，and naturalistically modelled feet in the interior. The bowl is covered overall in a thin white glaze stopping at the bottom to reveal the white body.
Xing wares were regarded as the precursors of true porcelain because of its high-fired ceramics.
